for the most part, i just shifted the temperature about 5% over to the warmer in Adobe Lightroom just to give it that fall feel. I think i punched up the green in the grass shot too.
So the diff in lens you have to consider is that your 18mm is on a cropped sensor, so if i was to shoot at 18mm on my camera it will still be about 15% wider than your 18mm. So if you got a 16mm lens it wont be as wide as the pics you see in my album.

I really really like this set. The colors are just right...did you do much post processing? If so, what did you do?
I especially like numbers 4 and 11 from the set. My lense goes down to 18mm but the extra 2mm seems to make a big difference...

Oh man I failed to see the beast of a camera you're using!! For some reason I thought you were still using the D70. *sigh* I need a new toy :P
The main thing I'm missing on the D40X is bracketing...is that so much to ask for?
