Here are my clicks. Starting with my favorite (shocking I know!) is the b&w portrait of Carmel. I love this picture and I took it in color and turned it b&w in PS.
Next we have "green". Don't feel like I did much of an original work here, but it does the job. I should have been more creative, but it's easy to get laxy and just shoot something green when the deadline approaches. :)
And finally we have the oxymoron. This one was hard, but considering I relate to this situation frequently, it was the natural choice to shoot this.
As for adjustment, nothing except cropping and turning the portrait from color to b&w. Oh, yea, don't have a night shot to contribute this time around.

That picture of Carmel is gorgeous! At the risk of stating the obvious, I think lighting is that much more important in a B&W photo since you can't use colors to bring out the subject, and I think the lighting here is perfect (Baby soft skin helps too :)
The green is a good too; it almost looks like a painting! At first I couldn't quite tell where the focus was though, and maybe this is intentional on your part. I personally would've focused on the front flower.
And the burger shot...that's a classic. It reminds me of my maths teacher who would sit outside during his breaks, smoke a giant cigar and drink diet coke.
Ok now I'm craving a XXX burger, and a giant root beer float...
Thanks Poya! she totally makes the picture and the contrast helped a lot.
As for the green, yes it was a miss to get the focus on the background flower head. did not notice it until the moment had passed, so I will just have to say it was deliberate :)
Ah the burget shot...I sure do love them xxx burgers. :)
