Let's kick this photo challenge off. I've gone ahead and started us off with a few assignments. If any of these are overwhelmingly disliked we can pick something else, but i figured it'd at least get us started.
Using this blog as the format I think will be the cleanest way of doing this, you are all authors of the blog so you can all post your pictures here too. As such:
There's 2 ways to post photos, either by uploading from your hard disk or linking to an external site. If you have a flickr or picasa account and have photos hosted there, it's preferable to do that as this blog only has 500MB of space for uploading pictures. Any questions post in the comments.

Dhab...Excellent job with the blog & the assignments. Looking forward to seeing all the entries & comments.
Jeez...am I full of comments or what? ok...so the other request/proposition I have is to post photos on the blog as opposed to posting links...I think it would be nice to have all the photos of the same assignment posted next to each other or on the same page for compare & contrast...Not as effetive to keep clicking on links, waiting for the page to load up in order to look at other entries. 500 MB is plenty for now. We could impose a size limit for our pics since these will be viewed on line only - Pics shouldn't really exceed 1200x800 which, at a ppi of 300, will make it about 500 KB...Even if we were to post super high res pics, we could archive the old pics after a few months...

Yes i agree!! i wanna clear up....hosting it on an external site doesnt just link to it. There is an option to post a photo like i did in this post that lets you link to another site but it still creates a thumbnail in the post itself. So even if you host on flickr, the thumbnail will still be in the post.
After every month i can also create a picasa archive of each months photos so we have it for future.
